How should I care for my Nicholas Mosse Pottery
We enjoy making our pottery and are very specific that we produce only pottery of the finest quality. Our pottery, used with care should last and wear beautifully for years to come. To keep it as beautiful as it was when first made we recommend that you follow the advice below to ensure the longevity of the pottery.
- Avoid rough handling & sudden changes in temperature as this may cause the appearance of fine lines on the surface known as crazing. Crazing does not affect the life nor the usefulness of the pottery – some people feel this adds to the appeal of the pottery.
- Our pottery is dishwasher safe, please stack it carefully to avoid pieces rattling against each other during a wash cycle.
- Our pottery is microwave safe, but continuous use of the microwave will affect the longevity of the pottery.
- Do not use our pottery in the oven, avoid direct heat and do not use on a hob or near a naked flame.
- To clean stubborn stains you may use a mild bleach solution.
- To store our pottery for long periods of time a wipe of a vinegar soaked cloth will keep the surface fresh.
